Farewell to Jim Westhead, Territory Sales Manager (Pest Management), at Bayer on his retirement
 
It is with mixed emotions that we announce that after 13 years of dedicated work with Bayer, Jim Westhead from our Environmental Science team, will commence his retirement in April, 2020.
 
Jim commenced at Bayer in August 2006, after 20 years of being the owner and manager of a Pest Management Distribution company; a Bayer distributor of Pest Management products.

Coronavirus is not a Mexican Hangover

Employers and employees may need to deal with the ramifications of coronavirus. Staff who have recently travelled to China’s Hubei province or come into contact with persons who have, are obviously at risk of infection. The catchment areas are widening constantly. The prospect of standing down employees has to be contemplated.

There are approximately 350 species of subterranean termites in Australia. Of these, approximately 20 or so species are of economic importance (cause financial loss through damage to timber in service). However, those relatively small number of species really do have a way of making their presence felt.
Glue Traps banned in Victoria

Sale and use of glue traps for animals is prohibited

The sale and use of glue traps for trapping animals* is prohibited in Victoria. This prohibition includes use by commercial pest controllers for rodent management under any circumstances.
*animal is defined in the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986
