AEPMA NSW State Council Branch Meeting

Posted on: 30/01/2015

Welcome all to the New Year 2015.  I hope it will be one of Happiness, Good Health and Prosperity for all AEPMA members.

The next AEPMA NSW ACT State Council meeting will be held on 7th February 2015 at Hawk Nest, NSW.

As usual a good number of Council members have confirmed their attendance.

The year has just started and items for discussion are starting to pile up!

High on the meeting agenda are the new Pest Management Training Package due to come into effect in 2015 (final draft comments closed in December 2014), the imminence of NSW Pest Management “Licences” going from Workcover to EPA, new editions of several Codes of Practice, new Codes, the new Pest Management handbook for food industry owners, the AEPMA Website and the AEPMA Newsletter.

New Australian Standard 3660.1–2014.  Do you have your copy? Whether we agree with it or not and /or work in Timber Pest Reporting or Management, it is essential to have a copy and be familiar with its contents.

There will certainly be discussion on Pest Manager of the Year 2015 and the National Photographic Competition which will be initially run by the NSW ACT State Council. The next AEPMA National and FAOPMA Conference to be held on the Gold Coast in 2016 will also attract some discussions.

It was pleasing for us to see a lot of new NSW members in 2014.  We were also pleased to welcome Mr Shane Clarke (Pestforce) to the NSW ACT State Council.

If you have any issues or items that you would like to be discussed at the meeting, please don’t hesitate to contact me or any of the other State Councillors.

For further details or to RSVP to the State meeting in Hawks Nest, please contact Patrick Legey at patrick@austrapest.com.au

Your Councillors are:  Patrick Legey  - NSW ACT State Council Chairman and NSW ACT National Board Director, Ed Covey, Chris Orton, Kevin Parsons, Wendell Arnett, Greg Hall, Robert Prosser, Greg Moon, Shane Clarke, Geoff Bryce, Shayne Reynolds.
