A Handbook to keep the pests away

Restaurants and commercial kitchens now have a professional guide available to them for managing pests in the workplace.

No not the human kind of pest, but rather the kind found lurking in the darkest corners of kitchens everywhere.

The Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association (AEPMA) has put together the Pest Management Handbook for Food Service Business Operators.

It’s a ‘must have’ book that will help keep you out of trouble from compliance officers and re-assure customers or clients that you have their health at top of mind.

AllPest WA takes up Rollins (US) ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Recently in Atlanta, Rollins President and COO John Wilson accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge set by Arrow Exterminators, and asked all employees at the Rollins Support Center to participate with him. Hundreds got together on 28 August, to dunk themselves with ice water. Wilson then challenged all Rollins brands and field locations worldwide.

The challenge was taken up in Australia by AllPest WA.  Some 18 staff took part in the challenge putting their own special “Aussie” spin on the dunking by counting down with “Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!”

The Ice Bucket Challenge involves dumping a bucket of ice water on your head to promote awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), better known as Motor Neurone Disease in Australia and encourages donations to research. The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads and challenging others to do the same.

Rollins employees have raised more than $10,000 toward ALS research.

New Australian Innovation to Improve Sales and Reduce Costs for Pest Management Professionals

"When I first show PESTIE DOTZ® to pest management professionals there’s usually a bit of laughter, but then the realisation of the potential for this new product sinks in and their ears prick up,” an enthusiastic Mr David Priddy, owner of Sundew Solutions remarked.

“While conducting research with pest management professionals and end customers we realised there were a lot of issues with the way gel baits were being applied,” commented David.                                                                                        (Read More)
